MARC died CIRCA 1734, ELK RUN, FAUQUIER CO., VIRGINIA. After residing a short period in England, Marc and his wife Marie emigrated to Newfoundland (Canada) about 1710. Due to the hardships of weather, he and his family took passage to the Virginia Colony around 1716. Marc then purchased land in the Elk Run sector of Fauquier County. he began to acquire a substantial estate and owned an inn or "ordinary" as they were called. After he died in 1734, his second son, Martin, took over the inn and remained in Fauquier County." Source: H. This contradicts sources that say that she was the dau of William Hogue and Barbara Hume
