"I checked Bank McLaurin's books The Bledsoe Family in America, 1993, privately published and found the following.

From V. III: William Hardin b. 4/25/1741 Prince William Co., VA d. 3/4/1810 Franklin Co., GA ma ca 1762 probably Johnston Co., NC. Sarah Bledsoe, b ca 1744 d. 2/2/1843 College Hill, Ms. 10 pages of infor including info on Hardin family.

From VI of Bledsoe Family: Sarah is the dau of John Bledsoe ca 1726 d. aft 1790 ma ca 1747 Susannah ? Dawson? b. ca1730 d. aft 1787 Their children were: Moses ma William, Abraham, John jr., a dau, a dau, Sarah Bledsoe, Susannah Bledsoe. 5 pages of info.

V.I: John Bledsoe is the son of Abraham Bledsoe b. 1673 Northumberland Co., VA. 1753 Granville Co., NC ma 1. ca 1702 Katherine Ball b. 1684, dau of Thos Ball, d. 1718 ma 2. 1723 Sarah (Cave) b. Ca 1700 d. aft 1755 Granville Co., NC. 10 pgs info including copy of Abraham's original will.

VI: Abraham was the son of George Bledsoe 1635 - 1705 Emigrant to America who, according to the compiler of this book, was the progenitor of all the Bledsoes in the USA today. There is a ton of info about him. If you are interested in the Bledsoe family, you might wanat to purchase Vol. 1 & III from the compiler as I did. They are very well done and contain much info. I doubt that you will find the books in a library. I will be glad to try to answer any other questions you have. The author is Banks McLaurin, Jr., 5843 Royal Crest Drive, Dallas, Tx. 75230. I forget the cost. I reached him by phone. Don't have his # now but he was listed with information.

Good luck. Claire"
