Note	[Harold Grinstead Family.FTW] ref. Original marriage license is on file at the Smyth Co. Va. court house in Marion, Va. Harold Grinstead has a copy of the marriage license and the note written by George Dutton, Birdie's grandfather consenting of their marriage. Parker and Birdie moved to Texas in Sep 1883 with three children, Helena (Lena), Byron and Carl. They came to Texas by train. At the time he had a brother, Andrew C. living in Texas. Margaret Ann Grinstead probably came to Texas at the same time as Parker. He and Birdie lived near Granger, Williamson, Texas until their deaths. The remaining children were born there and lived in Williamson County until they were grown and married. Parker died in the home of his son,William Scott, which was located about four miles west of Bartlett, Bell, Texas and was buried in the Granger cemetery next to Birdie.
