Shared note | Self Migration Adam Moore Self was the first of his siblings to move from Huntsville Alabama to Honey Grove Texas. Eventually his siblings followed as well as his grandfather Melchezedec and other Selfs. Adam and his brothers did well in and around Honey Grove (including a town called Self named after the family). When the Indian territory (later Oklahoma) opened up, they moved across the border to Boswell. They did well there also until the Great Depression, when they lost everything and moved back to the Honey Grove area. |
