| Note | this is the obituary for our cousin Greg ( tia Neefas Son ) THIS IS GENERAL INFO THAT HAS DATES AND MAY BE HELPFUL Velardez, Gregory Daniel Born April 19, 1958, 42 years of age, passed away Sunday evening, August 6, 2000. He resided in Gardena, CA with beloved wife, Rose Marie Velardez, with whom he had four children, Eliza Marie, 21, Gregory Daniel Junior, 18, Robert Anthony, 15, Vanessa Christine, 13, and also one grandson whom he spoiled dearly, Andrew Daniel Carraza, 2. Gregory was born to Andrea Rodriguez Velardez and Joe Velardez, both whom he will be meeting with in Heaven. Greg had a large, loving family with many brothers and sisters, Maria Parga of Chino, Randy Velardez of Redondo Beach, Tanya Barrera of Santa Clarita, Lillian Velardez, Andre Velardez, Renae Velardez, Yvette Velardez and Fernando Velardez, all of Hawthorne and Anthony Velardez, Diana Velardez, Claudette Velardez, Joe Velardez and Michael Cruz, all of Redondo Beach. Greg was born in Torrance, California and was a lifetime resident of the South Bay. He owned and operated his business Greg's Plastering for 25 years. He was a husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was a generous man with a good heart. He was much known as - The Life of the Party. He brought laughter and happiness to all he met. He was loved and will be missed by all. Visitation will be Thursday, August 10, 2000 from 3pm to 5:30pm and Friday, from 10am to 11am, both a McCormick Inglewood Mortuary. Funeral services will also be on Thursday, August 10, 2000, 7pm at Del Aire Assembly of God Church in Hawthorne and another service will be Friday, 10am at McCormick Inglewood Mortuary, with Graveside Services to follow at Pacific Crest Cemetery, Redondo Beach.
